Privacy Policy

Nursing Copilot is an educational clinical-reasoning simulator for nursing students and new graduate nurses. It presents simulated patients and coaches your thinking. It is not medical advice, is not a medical device, and is not intended to support decisions about real patients.

This beta has no user accounts and no cloud sync. Your learner level, your in-progress shift, your completed debriefs and the simulation text you type are stored locally in your own browser using localStorage — a browser storage mechanism, not a cookie. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Because this data lives only on your device, it can be lost if you clear browser or site data, switch devices or browsers, use private browsing modes that discard storage, or if browser storage is unavailable or full. There is currently no cross-device recovery, and we cannot restore data for you.

The free-text answers and SBAR handoffs you write during a simulation are evaluated in your browser and stored on your device alongside the run. They are not currently uploaded to or stored in an application database.

Use only the simulated patient information provided in the app. Do not enter names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, addresses, or other identifying information from real patients, staff, or clinical placements.

If you send feedback or report an issue, the app opens your own email program with a message you can review and edit before sending. It prefills a short technical context — scenario ID, room or scenario title, the current stage, your learner level, and the app route. It does not automatically attach your transcript, your SBAR text, or your free-text responses. Anything else you choose to type into that email is up to you, and we ask that you leave real patient information out of it.

The app is built and hosted with Lovable, whose platform may receive technical error information (for example an error message, stack trace, and the route where it happened) so problems can be diagnosed. That reporting is about software faults, not your clinical answers. Standard web server and hosting logs may also record technical request information.

Aside from your email provider when you choose to send feedback, and the hosting/error reporting described above, this beta does not send your information to other third parties.

To understand whether the beta is working, the app may record a small number of product events on your device — for example, when a clinical is started, resumed, progressed through, or completed, which stage you reached, and whether an error or feedback report occurred.

These events are stored only in your own browser or device at this time. Nursing Copilot does not currently receive, aggregate, or remotely collect this diagnostic data. There is no analytics provider, no tracking cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no account or user identifier.

Event data does not include your learner responses, transcript, SBAR text, feedback message text, names, email addresses, or any patient-identifying information.

Data stored on your device stays there until you remove it — by clearing site data for this app, or by using your browser's storage controls. The app also keeps only a limited number of your most recent completed runs and replaces older entries over time, so long-past debriefs may no longer be available.

Nursing Copilot is intended for nursing students and practising nurses, and is not designed or directed toward children. The app does not currently verify age.

We take reasonable care with a small beta product, but no software or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. Protect your own device and browser accordingly.
